CONDITIONS OF USE FOR WRITERS All scripts submitted to Production Scripts must be accompanied by a portrait orientated image. Any images not of portrait style will be cropped accordingly by Production Scripts. All images provided by the writer must be royalty free, copyright owned, or authorised for use by the copyright holder. Production Scripts do not accept any responsibility for any material submitted. We trust all material provided meets standard copyright and trademark requirements. Production Scripts hold the right to reject any content deemed unfit for public viewing. Images submitted must not contain what we believe to be of a strong sexual nature, suggestive, or offensive undertone. All scripts uploaded to Production Scripts must be owned by the user submitting unless a specific agreement with the writer and/or copyright holder has been granted beforehand. The writer maintains all legal rights to the script content and images. Production Scripts is not a publisher, simply a marketplace service, therefore writers may list their scripts with other sources as they wish. It is the responsibility of the writer to ensure that all other third parties are aware, and accepting, of your listing with Production Scripts. The writer may edit and/or remove any associated script submitted at any point by raising a ticket via the Writers Portal. Production Scripts will treat all edit and removal requests with the highest of priority. Scripts removed shall remain on our server for three months from the date of request. The script will be offline and unavailable for public viewing. In that time the writer has the option to re-open the script for listing by request. After the three month period, all content relating to that listing will be deleted permanently from our server. We offer customers the opportunity to view all of our listed scripts online through a special PDF flash player. To protect your work as a writer, we remove the final few pages from each script preview (between 10-20% of the overall script length). Users have the ability to print any of the remaining pages. We understand that theatre groups or schools often require sample pages before purchase. We also offer customers the opportunity to purchase scripts under Licence A. Licence A is a workshop or read through option whereby the customer may download a script in full for a small download fee. Here, the customer may print copies of the script as required to perform such a reading. Should the customer wish to perform the script to an audience of more than ten persons, the customer is then required to purchase Licence B, C, or D at a later date, before the production takes place. By uploading your script you acknowledge the requirement for Licence A and the sample previews. When a customer buys a script with Licence A, it is the responsibility of the writer to monitor Licence A purchases. Production Scripts provide the writer with specific information for each transaction. Production Scripts will also perform a series of random spot checks on Licence A purchases from time to time. Of course, if the writer finds that a public performance has taken place under Licence A then we expect the writer to report details to Production Scripts. Production Scripts will represent the writer thereafter. All script files and images are protected using 256-bit encrypted technology and all information data provided such as passwords, paypal addresses, and email addresses are secured through an ssl certification as approved by Equifax Security Inc. Whilst all measures are taken to protect security, and whilst we fully trust our host server provider, Production Scripts are not responsibile for any security breach through our service provider. For full information on our service providers security policy please visit JustHost. Production Scripts understand the basic need for writers to track real time statistics for each of their submitted scripts. We therefore provide all writers with sales figures, and up to the minute royalty values as standard. These figures are directly plugged into our sales module and fully automated. Production Scripts do not adjust balances or override the automated service in any way, shape, or form. Flexible tools are available through the Writers Portal at no cost to the writer whatsoever. All data within the Portal is secure and protected, and we will not pass any of this data to any third party source. Writers will receive a 65% royalty payout for any revenue generated through associated script sales and licences using this service. The remaining 35% is deducted as a service charge. The payout is uncapped. The royalty rate of 65% is subject to change at anytime although we will advise all parties one month prior to change. Production Scripts will pay the writer their full royalty earnings balance each month without fail. Production Scripts will settle at the beginning of each calender month for the previous month royalty value. Production Scripts will set the list price of all scripts. We base our calculations on a series of criteria to list your script at the most competitive price. The writer has the right to request a price change at any time. Should we run any special offers the writer will be asked permission beforehand. Without prior permission, we will not run any special offers on any listed scripts. The writer must add a Paypal address to the Writers Portal, without an address Production Scripts will not pay any balances to the writer. Non-GBP Paypal users are subject to Paypal foreign conversion charges. Please refer to Paypal for further information. Production Scripts only pay writers in GBP currency with no exceptions. Paypal may charge a fee for converting the GBP value into a foreign value. This fee is likely to be deducted by Paypal automatically at time of receipt. Paypal usually deducts a small transaction fee from receipted earnings. Please be aware of this fee. Refer to Paypal under term transaction fees for further information. Although Production Scripts is a British based service, we do accept, and encourage, scripts from around the world in all languages. Writers must be aware that we only list as default in GBP with secondary options of USD and EUR. Production Scripts may change the Conditions of Use policy at any time. Please refer to this page for any changes which will be marked in bold. CONDITIONS OF USE FOR CUSTOMERS Coming Shortly. |
