Bad Seed is a fable in which a young mother discovers that an artificial gene contained in a bean she ate has shown up in her unborn child. Now the Monsindios Corporation that holds the patent on the gene is making a claim to part ownership of the baby. She threatens to kill the child and herself rather than consent and so ends up imprisoned and forced to give birth under the ever watchful eyes of the state. first performed, in part, in Chicago, 2010 a hard subject, but there is no offensive language, nudity or any actual violence other than the psychological violence of state oppression. thus i call it family friendly, though others would possibly disagree.
