About the Writer
David L. Williams is a graduate of the theatre department of Cornell University, where he was a four time award recipient in the Heerman’s-McCalmon Playwriting contest (two 1st prizes and two 2nd prizes). Since then, he has written more than twenty-five plays and musicals.
He is a member of the Dramatist Guild and has won the Riverside Stage Company’s Founder’s Award (South Norwalk, CT) and the EBE Ensemble’s “You Fill In The Blank” festival (New York City). Additionally he has been named a finalist in Inkwell Theatre’s Inkubator Festival (Washington, D.C.) and a semifinalist in HotCity Theatre’s GreenHouse New Play Festival (St. Louis).
His career highlights include having four of his plays and musicals selected for the New York International Fringe Festival (Tess’ Last Night – 2003, The Information She Carried - 2005, The Armageddon Dance Party ¬- 2006, and The Johnny – 2008). His work has also been produced in Illinois, California, Massachusetts, Florida, and Washington, D.C..
David currently lives in New York with his wonderful wife. |
