Shookie, a feisty Appalachian woman recalls, the good times and tribulations of being the lifelong friend of Missouri Howard in a one-woman performance piece. This play is an oral history of growing up in the 1920’s and 30’s in the small coal mining town of Persimmon, West Virginia tucked away in the Appalachian mountains.
