About the Writer
John Patrick Bray earned his Ph.D. in Theatre Studies at Louisiana State University, and his MFA from The New School during its Actors Studio Drama School days. His published plays include TRICKSTER AT THE GATE and HOUND (Next Stage Press), LINCOLN AND LEE (Heartland Plays, Inc.), and the one-acts GOODNIGHT LOVIN' TRAIL AND ON TOP (Strawberry One-Act Festival anthologies). He has written plays under grants from The National Endowment for the Arts, the Acadiana Arts Council, and Acadiana C.A.R.E.S., and has earned commissions from organizations in South Louisiana and New York City. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc., Theatre Communications Group (TCG), and he is an Equity Membership Candidate (EMC), as has delivered papers with ATHE, ASTR, MATC, PCA/ACA, and the SCMLA. |
