Political satire in four acts. The play is a bitter indictment of recent American leadership. It uses an officious home invasion as metaphor for misguidance of American history. The most powerful figure, Mr. Scar, dominates his boss, but this control is compromised by sexual seduction. That prompts the introduction of a device which allows a child to commit an atrocity. The child does -- and in reaction there is a violent last act. Many lyrical passages work as counterpoint to the dramatic action.
