Bawdy commedia del arte piece relating the story of Samuel Vice who went looking for a wife. This old man unable to find a woman who will have him decides to buy a wife. He is tricked into a false marriage and has his money stolen. His subsequent adventures in trying to get his wife back involve his dying and ressurection and downfall. All characters are trying to outdoo each other in the frenzied physical fast paced action.
