A dramatic short play which focuses on the early months of the Great War. The story is driven by a narrator, Wilfried van Looy, who reflects on his experiences of life as a soldier on the front line first in Liege, and then in Liere, Belgium. While the narrator runs through his story, the action is played out behind him on a minimal stage which is split in half. On one side is a makeshift trench where a younger Wilfried and his friend Eric Aabech are positioned. On the other side is a makeshift textiles factory where girlfriends Tia and Arabelle work. The action moves from side to side before exploding into a dramatic climax.
