The Old Barn Country Hotel is struggling financially following a series of high profile mysterious murders and disappearances. As a last resort to save her business, Miss Frackenheisenberger steps out of retirement to take the reigns as hotel manager. Supporting her, the only remaining member of staff still alive, a lowly mute cook named Olsen, who joined exactly two months ago, by chance, around the same time people began disappearing. Jenkins, a local shop worker, at a local video store, reads of the suspicious happenings at the local hotel, in his local newspaper, and fancies himself as a bit of a detective. He has, after all, watched every episode of CSI and Inspector Morse many times over, often on repeat. Following extensive research collated on a series of multi-coloured post it notes, Jenkins checks himself in at the Old Barn Country Hotel, and begins his fantasy fueled investigation. On arrival however, he finds he is not alone, there are four other guests already staying at the hotel. Philip, Marge, William and Peggy. Before too long, events take a dramatic turn for the worse with a fresh murder. Suddenly, everyone’s a suspect with a hidden motive, except the cook, who’s clearly completely innocent of any wrongdoings.
