WHITE HORSES is a prequel to Henrik Ibsen's 1886 drama ROSMERSHOLM. The play reconstructs how Rebekka West drove Beate Rosmer to suicide. Using Ibsen's exposition, symbolism, and language we see how Beate might have been led to the mill-race. WHITE HORSES presents three complex female characters in a struggle for life and power.
