The Lesbian and the Flying Pig is an unconventional one-act drama reminiscent of 1984, The Children's Hour and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The play is set twenty years in the future when born-again Christians control the U.S. government. Each Sunday, immediately after a stirring evangelical sermon, baptismal service, and a pot luck supper, Christians gather together to stone fags for Jesus. Into this futuristic world, enters Peg Middleton and her partner, Maggie Jerome. Peg is the CEO of Honor Thy Children, a government controlled foundation dedicated to protecting children from predators. As the play opens, Peg is struggling to remember the year of her twelfth birthday when she was raped, a year that has been entirely blocked from her memory. Only Maggie knows what really happened . . . and she's not telling. Now, William Albright, under the power of the Federal Homeland Protection laws, discovers the truth. Was Peg raped as Maggie alleges or did Peg invite the entire neighborhood into her lair? Time will provide the answer to this powerful tale.
